Each lodge has been individually designed to enhance the natural charm of the buildings. Linen (except for cots) and towels are provided. Please note this is a barn conversion, ceilings can be low.

  • The living areas are open plan incorporating lounge/dining area and fitted kitchen.
  • The kitchens are fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washer / dryer.
  • The bathrooms have shaver points, showers and baths.
  • The lounge areas have DVD players and flat screen TVs with built in freeview. We can also provide additional Z-beds in the larger lodges if required.

The Bothy living areaThis popular Lodge has two large picture windows enjoying uninterrupted views to the East and South.

The downstairs of the Bothy has a large open plan living/dining area with newly refurbished fitted kitchen, refurbished bathroom with shower (over bath). The kingsize bedroom upstairs is large enough to be used as as a family room with the addition of Z-beds.

Byre Lodge litchenOur largest Lodge ideal for a family. The ground floor has a spacious, airy lounge, which enjoys views over the Cree towards the Galloway Hills.

Downstairs there is a dining room, newly refurbished kitchen, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bath and electric shower. Upstairs there is another twin room and a king size bedroom and a second toilet with walk in shower.

Cottages loungeA two storey Lodge with the downstairs providing a large open-plan area with a lounge/diner and newly fitted kitchen (2017). The Dairy enjoys the same views as the Byre.

There is a bathroom downstairs with electric shower over bath and a toilet with walk in shower upstairs.
The king and twin bedrooms are both situated upstairs in this lodge.

Hay Loft bedroomThis two-storey Lodge has an entrance hall with steps down to a lounge/dining area with fitted kitchen.

The picture windows in the lounge look out across the River Cree to the Galloway Hills beyond. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one king and one single and a newly refurbished bathroom with shower (over bath).

This small Lodge has an open plan downstairs incorporating a lounge, dining area and newly refurbished fitted kitchen.

The refurbished bathroom is downstairs and has a bath with shower (over bath). Upstairs is a double bedroom and small twin room.

This small lodge has an outlook onto our 12 acre field but the cottages above have better views.

A smaller lodge but sleeps up to three in two decent sized rooms. All on one level, it has a shower room, one double and one twin room and an open plan living/kitchen area. This can sleep 4 but is more comfortable for 2-3 people.

Not the same views as other lodges but has a large picture window overlooking the courtyard. All the same self-catering facilities and is ideal for short breaks at only £60 (min 3 night stay) for the lodge per night or £220-£280 for a week.


  • The office hosts an extensive DVD library and board games and books which guests are free to use.
  • There is ample parking available.
  • Guests are free to wander around the 15 acres of farm land.
  • Newly built walk/cycle path into Newton Stewart, only 1 mile from Nether Barr into town.
  • Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement but dogs must be kept on a lead.
  • All lodges are no-smoking.
  • Bike shed & outdoor hose for all mountain bike enthusiasts.
